Wii Mini Fails To Impress The UK Market

March 24, 2013

The Wii Mini is failing to make an impact on the UK market, according to large UK retailers such as GAME and HMV. The console, which was originally a Canadian exclusive (hence the red design), was released on the 15th March in Central Europe and the 22nd of March in the UK.

The Wii Mini, which is bundled with a red Wii Remote Plus and Nunchuck, was relativity popular in Canada; this is despite being heavily criticized amongst the gaming world. Some reports suggest that the Wii Mini is the only available Wii console available in Canada, but things are quite different in the UK. A Tech Radar article into the console has shown that some of GAME and HMV’s largest stores aren’t stocking the low-budget Wii console. Both stores have said they will not stock the console if interest continues to be at a minimum, but will have consoles available to purchase on their websites.
