After 3 months absence, World Nintendo News is back with a bang. We released part one of our two part summary of 2013 so far earlier today, and you can read it here. If you’ve already read this, then continue our summary here. We will also have our first ever review up later this week, along with some retro features from the N64/GameCube era. Anyway, we’ll continue with February 1st…



February 1st

  • EA – “Wii U isn’t next gen”
  • Capcom – “Resident Evil Revelations sales are disappointing”

February 2nd

  • ZombiU patch coming soon

February 3rd

  • Super Mario 3DLand outsold Super Mario Galaxy when you compare 1st year sales

February 5th

  • Scribblenauts Unlimited delayed in Europe
  • Pikmin 3 will be fully functional with off-TV play

February 6th

  • Mutant Mudds Deluxe delayed for the Wii U eShop

February 7th 

  • Wii Street U released on the Japanese Wii U eShop
  • Rayman Legends delayed until September…
  • …The game will also be released on the PS3, Xbox 360 and PS Vita

February 8th

  • ZombiU Wii U console bundle to be released in North America
  • New Rayman Legends Demo coming to the Wii U eShop soon

February 12th

  • Pokemon Scramble U coming to Japanese Wii U eShop this Spring
  • Mutant Mudds 2 for the 3DS eShop will be released in 2014

February 13th

  • Pokemon TV app released on the iOS and Android stores
  • Tank! Tank! Tank! is now free on the Wii U eShop, but you need to buy DLC to play the game


February 14th

  • Donkey Kong Country Returns 3D coming to the 3DS, a port of the Wii game
  • Mario Golf: World Tour coming to the 3DS this summer
  • Animal Crossing: New Leaf get June 14th release date for Europe, and June 9th in North America
  • New Super Luigi U announced. Will be DLC for New Super Mario Bros. U, featuring 60 new levels
  • Mario & Luigi: Dream Team, announced for the 3DS, will be released this summer
  • Fire Emblem: Awakening gets a 19th April release date in Europe
  • Zelda Miiverse community released today
  • Mario & Donkey Kong: Minis on the Move coming to the 3DS eShop
  • Dillon’s Rolling Western: The Last Ranger announced for the 3DS eShop, launching this April

February 15th

  • Pokemon Mystery Dungeon: Gates to Infinity coming the 3DS in Europe on May 17th
  • Xbox 360 outsells Wii
  • Watch Dogs coming to the Wii U this year

February 19th 

  • Rayman Legends Challenge Mode coming to the Wii U eShop this April, will be free

February 20th

  • F-Zero relesed on the Wii U eShop for £0.30/$0.30

February 21st

  • Wii U competition announced in the form of the PS4

February 23rd

  • Nintendo – “Innovation is important for 2D Mario games”

February 26th

  • Wii Mini coming to Europe on March 22nd. Will cost around £60

February 27th

  • 36,000 Wii Minis sold in Canada

February 28th

  • Assassins Creed IV: Black Flag coming the the Wii U this year
  • Bit Trip. Runner 2 released on the North American Wii U eShop



March 2nd

  • Official Pokemon Magazine UK confirmed, will be made by the team behind Official Nintendo Magazine

March 5th 

  • Minecraft wont be released on the Wii U eShop

March 6th

  • Miyamoto discusses retirement

March 8th

  • Nintendo stocks rise by 7%

March 11th

  • Nintendo DS 8 years old today in Europe
