Wii U System Update Comes Installed On Systems In Spring

December 4, 2012

From next Spring, if you buy a new Wii U, you will be able to access major features (eShop, Miiverse etc.) as soon as you start your console for the first time. That’s because from Spring 2013, all new Wii U consoles will come with the first system update pre-installed.

As all current Wii U owners know, the system update is a painful experience, with some people reporting the update took 3-4 hours. It also allows people without Internet access (anyone?) to play Wii games.
